 Very nice work fausto. Not much to say in critique, but there are two small things I'd like to point out.
1. I think that the ears could do without so many wrinkles. They look fine now, but it might look better if the basic shape of it wasn't distored by so many folds in the skin.
Also, from the back facing picture, the edges of the ear look slightly too defined.
2. For such an old person, I imagine that his adam's apple would be more pronounced than it currently is.
Can't wait to see how this will look with the skin on it. :)

really nice piece of work fausto, great profile. are you using a bump map for the smaller wrinkes or is this all in geometry? would love to see a wireframe of this guy.

Wow i have seen many of yur works posted on this site and amazed but i must say u took yur skill into a whole nother level
it looks friggin phenominal. the only crit that i have is where the area below the chin is it seem abit too caved in like a folded laundry but other than that fantastic job :)
p.s man if yur younger than me i am quitting 3d
:) I must say you logged four files in my C:\3d\impressive\ directory.
Since you put this up in the wip section I'll offer some crit juice:
The back of the ear looks a little thin. This might not be as important if he has a lot of hair and/or you don't see the back of his much.
The jugular is to boxy. You can solve this by taking some of the verts that make up the boundary of the vein and move them along their U normals. basically smooth the area. This will even out the vert distribution and create a smoother transition.
I suspect the eyebrows are to bulgy. I say this because I'm anticipating hairy eyebrows which would make that area jut out even further.
If you find it boring to work on the rest of the face (The features are the funiest part for me) you might try to dup it and delete the feature area so you're looking a hole. then you can really concentrate on the rest of the face and look at it objectively. Remember to review the whole thing with the featuers back on, though.
Hope that helps. Great work.
cheers

Hi,
thanks for the kind words... and sorry by the late with some updates... I'm doing the model on 3DSMax 5.1 and there's no textures (like bump maps)... only geometry. This head is for a contest. As I need to make only the head, I decided to make a lot of details. I'm posting the wireframe and the update with a more pronounced adam's apple. I will make the other changes that you have suggested and refine the model to eliminate the 3 and 5 sided poligons, but now I'm finishing a rough work.

Wow, I saw the smoothed version and I passed out, its just insane. then i saw the wire, and I seriously died. I cant comprehend that level of detail... I mean, how the **** do you work on such a complex subject?
gawd, that model is like the second coming of christ in cg form... you ought to teach me everything you know! (or make some tutorials atleast)
Cheers,

MAN! That is one of the kewlest dwarves I have ever seen (the kewlest by far in 3D thats for sure!) Man, that is a lot of detail, also! That must've taken a lot of work and patience to do such a work of awesomeness! I would love to see him textured!
