Hi ,

Can anybody please guide me how to export a character from Blender to Maya without disturbing UVs?

I tried but could not get that correctly. I am giving here what I did.

A character was created in Blender, uv mapped, grouped into 2 parts as upper and lower bodies and exported to Maya as single object. But when I imported it into Maya , I found all the uvs are distorted as in first figure.

I thought, it was because of single object. I separated it using Mesh > separate. The whole body separated into small parts like in the second figure shown below (I applied colors to each part).

I tried again exporting the upper and lower parts, individually. This time the UV map is ok but it is divided into small shells.

I would be grateful if anybody share their valuable knowledge.

how are the uv-s in blender? for mee they look quite ok in maya, they are just one above the other. if you use different shaders for the body parts you shoud have no problem with it. You can also divide the model in maya.
I don't see the uv layout in blender, so I am only guessing
