Hi there
I'm pretty new to 3D so it's possible this is an ignorant question, but I was wondering about particle/fluid effects from programs like 3DS Max. Would it be possible to import things like explosions to other programs (Such as Modo) to render? How about to modify/sculpt? Would they have to be converted to another file type? Are there any standards?
I remember finding out boolean objects couldn't be exported from Bryce (after I worked hard making something with 'em >_<) because they contained information that could only be expressed during the program's unique rendering. My gut says the same thing would apply to particles but then again maybe more professional programs have more cross-platforming?
Anyway sorry if this isn't the right forum
