View Full Version : particle instancing, perparticle rotation?

hi there. basically I'm wanting to achieve lots of the same objects all falling. I've already set up a directional emitter with particle instancing of that object. The only thing I need to add now is individual rotations for each object to make it look like they're falling.

So ultimately my question would be, how can I set up perparticle random rotation with instanced particles?

Hello,


1/create two custom attributes:

random_number (float,PP)
custom_rotation (vector,PP)

2/create the following expressions:

creation expressions:

particleShape1.random_number=rand(-5,5);
particleShape1.custom_rotation=<<rand(360),rand(360),rand(360)>>;

runtime expression:

particleShape1.custom_rotation+=particleShape1.random_number;
