I tried everything I studied with C4d up to date.. No matter what I did, the lens is black.
I've attached before and after.. Any idea why is the lens black with or without color?

Pls try to assist..

I don't know about C4D, however it could be the raytracing depth being set too low.

why is this in the modeling forum? it is shader issue.

Make the black frame green or purple. If the lens stays black, you have to change the raytrace depht or some other raytrace setting. if becomes the same color as the frame, you have to change the index of refraction or the curvature of the surfaces of the lens.

I found a great deal of new info since I last asked abour the black lens. I'll be back soon with fresh samples.
