(http://assets.cgsociety.org/nvart/230770_1213914283/1024bound)The design with no background

The picture is done using 3D Max and Photoshop.

The concept was for a vertical design; this is an adaptation for the wide horizontal resolution.

The arows are generated using PF source and 4 events. The scene has 1 PF source, 3 deflectors and 3 winds. The lighting is done using 5 sources + a sky light. It's renderd using final Render.

All the element's are made by me, other then the original "Old Paper", used in the bg. There's a lot of photoshop on it to get it to this resolution and to give the effect that i was looking for.

In photoshop i brought 2 renders of the same 3D scene; one is the entire flow, and one where the flow is facing the camera (lower right). The text on the background are different paragraphs from fairy tales. The black dots are also generated in 3D.

Wow I love the colors and the text placement. Is the text a story or just random text? Just wondering. Really cool and unique piece.

I wanted the whole concept to be very progressive. When you see the picture (especially on a low res) you can only read "follow" and you can see an abstract guy there, rising his hands.

When you get a little closer you can read follow me and see that the "flow" is made out of arrows. If you zoom in you can see a text on the bg. It's not to "readable" but you can figure out that it's about fairy tales.

The ideea is to bring joy in to people, by bringing the people into the fairy tale world.

I'm glad you like it. Thx and good look.

Its a shame that they didnīt allow portrait submissions and you had to add the black lines...

Tell me about it...

It's not that bad because the image should be under 2MB. And it's 2.1MB like this at 95%. At full resolution it's about 7MB so I think it's ok.

My only problem is the Judges... They asked for a 2560x1600 design... myne is 1000x1600 in this format. I hope it won't make a difference... at least not in a bad way.
