Hi, I'm new to this game. I've got basic knowledge of modeling and texturing, but I'd like to learn more about UV unwrapping in order to make my own textures to apply to a model. I just don't know enough about the whole process of taking a finished model and unwrapping it so I can paint a texture in Photoshop or use Body Paint. That's another area of concern of mine, but I guess I'll just stick with this for now. Do I need alternate software? I've seen tutorials online that use Cinema to unwrap the models, but between those and messing around with the program myself, I can't manage to do it myself. Any information would be appreciated, Thanks!

Pictured below is the model I'd like to unwrap and texture. Very simple model, maybe my modeling techniques are wrong?

I'm also using 3Dsmax as well as Cinema 4D so advice on either platforms would be great.
