I made this image using C4D 7,Photoshop 7 and Bodypaint 3D :)

I was going for a kind of LOTR meets Indiana Jones mixture.

The gold texts are ancient inscriptions which as of yet have no meaning.

Don't know why, but it looks like a miniture model. Don't know what could be causing that.

looks pretty good I would say that the colors are causing this problem with proportion. also the shapes and sizes seem to be a little strange.

nice

here is a quick little paint over of what is causing some problems. of course they probibly are not problems just intentional artist decisions.

Thanks guys

Kex - I can still see it ok

Tai - Ya I agree it would probably look better with a rock face or something, maybe some more geometry like a building as well :)

Miketche - Ya it does somewhat, probably what JIII is describing

JIII - I see what you mean.It must be the camera angle as everything is lined up properly.Might try a different lighting rig as well,I just go so tired of texturing :)

definatelly change the lighting, if you want to have some sort of mood in this pic. Front lit subjects, usually done for different things, and mostly for characters. Here you have to work and "draw" with lights your picture. Dont expect it to look real just with one light as well. IF you dont use any GI solutions - then place bounce and fill lights in your scene. Sometimes it is nice to use, what I call "subject" lights that emphisize parts of you model. Also you have some problems with aliasing.

Thanks Dennis :)

Ya I have lots to re work. What I should have done is take a good break and then come back to the image again before posting.

I chucked the gold designs on the tiles and have done some re working of the whole scene :)

I'd tone down the DOF also. Keep at it.
