(http://assets.cgsociety.org/nvart/236866_1213884977/1024bound)I started out wanting to do something for my own culture, Mexico. but when i finished there wasn't enough contrast between top and bottom, so i changed the concept to "culturas de la mascara"(cultures of the mask"and morphed the mexican lucha libre image into a native north american totem mask. I liked the pan-american feel of the result as well as the juxtaposition of the religious with the secular; I hope you do too.
