id like to know if theres a command that lets you quickly place the object axis directly in the middle of an object (or object group)..i know this is posible in maya..its called 'centre object' or something..cant remember exactly.

Theres a CenterAxis plugin which only works for one poly object, ISTR. I think its at www.studio-fabian.de - he's a cool guy who very kindly made his plugins freeware.

There's also another free plugin called AxicCenter (clever names, eh?) which is available from Plugin Cafe. I actually prefer AC to CA, but they both do the job.

My first Plugin project is going to be a group axis centreing tool. I'm using VC++.NET tho, and the API won't compile with it :(
I'll post it here if I even get it done.

That would be a very welcome addition. If it also worked with deformed/generated objects it would be even better! ;)

Well it looks like I'll have to wait for the API to be updated, that or go through 9835987345 lines of API code and remove all the default parameters. I wouldn't mind but I'm a Delphi programmer, all that C++ will ruin my cred...
