I used my own folded paper texture to make it feel like it was a poster, or something that was actually produced, instead of something flat and digital. I've been increasingly interested in eastern/arabic stuff as of late, which is inspired me to design the plate. The background was by far the longest/most laborious part to do, getting the lighting, materials and modelling right. I had the most fun designing the plate though.

Might upload some detail shots of the plate soon.

hi there Samione, i think your entry is really simple and neat. The plate is really nicely designed, does the symbols mean anything? i mean.. it can make this piece alot more sophiscated if it has some hidden meanings or something. Lets hope it doesn't promote smoking though :)

Thanks guys, the symbols mean what you want them to mean, I don't like to pontificate to much about my work, i'd rather let the image create images and ideas in your mind, rather than me do it for you:) And nah, it doesn't promote smoking, or atleast I didn't intend it to. All the stuff around the plate was more to give it an heir of nonchalance.
