View Full Version : Blender Fire and Smoke with particles
FlorinMocanu 06-18-2008, 08:56 AM I followed the tutorial posted in blenderart magazine, nr. 16 about fire and after that i used that method to make the smoke, with another particle system. Also, i tweaked the compositing for my own needs, since the tutorial gave a way to uniform look on the flames, so i made them stand out a bit more. About 11-12 seconds of rendering time for each frames, 250 frames long. Hope you enjoy it.

Noticed somethingAwesome vid!
My only critique (and I hope I dont get flamed for this one) is that the smoke isnt the right 'size'. It should match the width of the fire so theres a smooth transition between smoke and flame.

In this vid for example there is a smooth transition between the flame and the smoke (granted the flame is moving around quite a bit but so it the smoke to match it.)
Hope this makes sense!
But again. great vid! Love the sparks...
EDIT: I notice some other vids uploaded by you,( Fire and Smoke effects 3) Was more along the lines what I was talking about.
