I liked the first shot in the rooftops, nice lighting, modeling and texturing there...

The animations i feel you need to practice more on the walkcycles, they look too stiff, also the timing is off on them.

Overall I can see that you have talent for the modeling, texturing and lighting but need more practice on animation

Keep it up!

Hi Wallace,

For starters your reel is way too long. Just the intro part takes more than 30 seconds , it should be 6-8 seconds tops. I would get rid of the animation pieces in the reel because it is clearly not your strong point and it is not adding to the reel in any way. If you want to get a animation position make a reel that just focuses on animation. I would recommend cutting this reel by half at least and having it focus on your modeling which is great.

good luck.

Thank you FaQ3D. I really do need alot of practice on my animation. Basically I just finished learning how to model and texture and have a few more things to learn. My animation has been put off for awhile now but I hope to be done my first full caractacher soon and I will diffenitly practice my animation skills with him.

good luck. Thank you SheepFactory for you critique. I will consider everything you said about shortening my intro for sure and deffenitly work on my animation. I will be making a new demo reel in the next few months focused on modeling and texturing. Glad you liked my modeling.
