Greetings everybody!
We're proud to announce the availability of the MaxOpenEXR v0.9 plugin on our website at :
http://www.splutterfish.com/sf/sf_gen_page.php3?page=plugins
Versions of the plugin compatible with Discreet's 3D Studio MAX R3 as well as 3ds max r4 and r5 are provided.
We've included documentation with the download, which is also available online. We highly advise reading through it to make the most of the plugin.
For those new to OpenEXR, please see the official OpenEXR website for more information : http://www.openexr.net/
In summary : It is a high dynamic range-capable open source image file format which allows you to store an arbitrary number of channels in a multitude of data formats and compression methods, as well as custom fields - making it the most versatile format for use in CG to date.
For those wishing to know what other software can work with OpenEXR files, please see the 'Teaser' thread.
We welcome you to this section of our Forum for any questions, comments and suggestions.
Have fun!
