it looks very - brycean - the figures' pose is a little contrived and take a look where the ocean meets the steps, you can tell that it isn't really interacting with the steps but simply intersecting them

i mean, this is a really really good job! those are just some points i want to make on ways to improve the image

very nice though :)

the coloring is very nice. I liek it. I agree with the water, how did you get that? this displacement map maybe?

I don't like the sky and the building's textures should be a bit more detailed.
But all in all it's a nice picture.

noen: It shouldn't be intersecting.. I think it's just the foam map that is a little off. I'm tweaking the simulation and increasing the foam maps a little and it looks better now.
I agree the whole thing is a little bryce-ish, and I'm willing to live with that. :p

Shaded/Cgman: The water is done with dreamscape. It makes for pretty water renderings but ruthlessly devours gigabytes of ram like there's no tomorrow. :eek:

Oktavian: I'm a sucker for brownish hues so I kinda like the sky, but I agree with you that the texture on the tallest building needs more details. I originally hadn't planned to have that building up so close. I think that if I perhaps bake and refine the texturemap it might reduce the brycieness a tad too. :)

the image has a nice feel to it. it gives the feeling of isolation very well. only thing i would say is the rock wall or whatever behind the character. the texture is terrible. it looks too uniform and stretched. also, it looks like default max rusted metal shader.
