for someone who doesn't know what they are doing..i'd say you did a sterling job even for someone who knew what they were doing!
very nice...like it alot...
would like to see how you got on with not knowing what to do when you do the body..cos it would be great...

(please tell me that this isn't the first 3d program you've touched...cos otherwise i'm gonna get grumpy....heh heh)

Beechdbum : yeah youre probably right.

ayora : fess up then...? heh heh....the other comment would be imho texturing on this will ABSOLUTELY make or break this model.
so whatever you come up with please please take your time maybe trying lots of different things before a final stage...

join the club...at least you don't suck at texturing...modelling...lighting...animation...3d etc etc...
heh heh.

don;t forget...you might get some interest from someone who might want to perfect his/her texturing skills...by letting them use your model and see how they get on...i know its probably not what you want to do...but sometimes its an option and collaboration can be useful to a potential employer to see youre not just some loner who can't work in a team...

anyway nice work bud...good luck with the paint skills.

here is a hint.

render settings. effects, click on the post effects tab. cel shader, then click on edges is the celshader.

After that its up to you.

if you want half model showing solid and half wire...you would probably do that in the alpha channel with wireshader or maybe someone else has an easier method...this looks like a photoshop job...but i might be way way off...
