Title: ISCS Olympic jumping into Realspace
Name: Ward Van Opstal
Country: Belgium
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop

Here's another beauty shot I made of the ship i recently completed. Tthe idea about the faster-than-light i see a bit a mix between battlestar Galactica's jump and Andromeda's slipstream, i.e. a very fast jump with a short run-up and run-off.

This is some really good job.. I love the mood of it
Well- I don't have a lot more to say than "5 stars"

Looks great! My only complaint is that I dont get to see all of the ship's details...lets see a clay...

I just wondered- how did you make this black hole??? (or what ever it is..)

Thanks guys, I'm glad you're liking it.

@eran1: The warp thingie was built up using about 10-12 layers in Photoshop. The base start was a fractal that was kindly provided to me by Dallidas over at Scifi-meshes.com. It was just made with one of the many fractal applications out there. I'll include the original fractal as attachment.

@candicekulacz: The ship itself was built up using roughly 5-6 layers to create the correct lighting effect to correspond with the 'jump hole'

@Nosh_Dir85: I'll include a few WIP render I amde along the way. If there's any specific part of the ship you'd like to take a closer look at, don't hesitate to ask. Since the pics I'l be attaching are WIP, the detailing may not be 100% final everywhere, keep in mind.

Some more pictures. Again, keep in mind that they were WIP pics and that I had to resize them drastically to be able to post here.

There are also a few more pics in my CG portfolio here.
