View Full Version : Loading Plug-ins In 3dsmax
igor popovic 04-23-2002, 06:12 AM How would i get about to loading plug-ins into 3ds tudio max, for example, i downloaded a 'l-systerms' plugin, i put it into my plug-ins folder, and nothing happened!?
please help!!

Hi Igor :) - In MAX go into Customize/Configure Paths/Plugins - in there you'll have to set a path to the folder where your extra plugins are. (check that it hasn't unzipped to a subfolder in your max/plugins directory). It's probably better to have them in a seperate folder than your standard MAX plugins so that if you have any problems/instability they are easy to remove! ;) Also - I think the l-system plugin is a blur plugin so you may need to download the blurlib plugin and install that as well. (you can get this from a site like www.maxplugins.de). Hope this helps. - cya! :)

If you picked up L-systems somewhere other than here

then visit there cos that's where it originates and there some notes on using their plugs as well as some other rather useful things. :)
