View Full Version : After Effects isn't rendering out as composition shows
Digiegg 06-15-2008, 07:44 PM So I did some blending and stuff to make the image more saturated and what not.
I exported it out to see how it looked as a mov file and it just didnt look like what I saw in after effects.
Anyone know how to fix this problem? Is it not reading all the blending mode?
Do I have to merge them down together or soemthing?

.h264
Everything at the highest settings.
I tried uncompressed AVI. Same result.
I went to Render Que and did it from there, same result...
am I going crazy?
Seems like the blending or the contrast isn't has strong as the comp shows me...

Gamma shifts in h264 are a known issue, but since you have the same with uncompressed avis, I'm kinda clueless.
Did you reimported the clips back into AE (and matched via the original com in difference layer blending mode) or only watched in an external player?

only watched it from VLC player.
I opened it up in Windows Media player and it looks like the AE version...
I never knew VLC effected the original video image...
It sucks that it does it again in quicktime though.
Do you know how to fix that?

In addition, also look into hardware acceleration for playback in QT player. Some combinations of graphics cards and settings have been known to skew the colors, though this does not apply to every model.

try to increase your bit rate to 3000 or more.

You can try to render the uncompressed file , quicktime or avi , and compress it separatly.

Read the section of the manual about color management.
