I'm looking for examples of game models, any good resources out there? I'm looking for inspiration here. Shane Caudles' page is great, are there more like this out there with some tutorials or anything?
Thanks,
Dave

Hey Dave,

seems game related content for maya is scarce :p

You should try www.planetquake.com/polycount/ - they have the best custom game models indexed and reviwed and a host of tutorials for game stuff - everything is Max related though.

tutoerial wise you should check out wolfblades site on polycount - he has some video tutorials on making game characters - still max related.

if you are looking for anything more specific - ask and i'll try to dig up the links :D

edit == Oh and shane's page is kinda unique ;)
Ciao

It seems odd that the game tutorials and stuff for Maya are hard to find. Here in the Northwest where so many game companies are located they use Maya a ton to make all sorts of games. I don't really care too much about the tutorials, (I can figure building things out)I'd just like to see some really good models with their wireframes. That seems to help me the most.
Thanks,
Dave

Hey,

your right about maya games-related stuff being hard to find. I have a few game meshes rendered on my site. When I get the time ill add the wireframe renders of the game ones, and maybe even post up the textures to look at. :)

Btw, site is

Is it cool if I send you one of my models to critique? Just for the hell of it.
