Hi all -

wonderin if i could get a little help. ultimately i'm trying to texture a poly head. for now, i'm starting w/ a sphere, painting on some color w/ 3D paint tool, then, with the sphere selected, from the uv texture ed, uv snapshot.
when i name the file, save it (as .iff), & open it in photoshop, it's just the background (black) & the grid.

Why can't i see the texture?

thanks

you do have projection on the sphere?

no i mean edit polygons -> texturing -> spherical projection (or some other)

You will not see your UV's in the Uv editor unless you have a projection.

i'm sorry - actually when i open the file in PS, it's transparent w/ the white grid. When i preview it (with graphic converter), it's black.

I can see my projection just fine in the uv texture editor - it's just when i save the file out & open it up that i don't have any color information
