I am trying to create documents in Microsoft Word 07 with colored backgrounds, specifically a dark grey background with white document text (text window you use here at CG Society). When I make this document and then print it to .pdf using Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat displays the document with a white background, but leaves the text white, thereby making the text invisible.

Does anyone know how I can create .pdfs with colored backgrounds (page colors?)

I realize this forum is dedicated to photoshop, but I thought if anyone might know the answer to this question it would be you fine skilled gentlemen here at CG Society.

Thank you for your consideration.

You're not likely to get good answers here as most people would pick other tools to generate PDFs.

I don't know anything about Word; but perhaps Open Office might do the job ?

Hey Sp00ky, try making a black rectangle the size of the sheet and right click -> Order -> Send to Back (or something like that). That should put the black shape behind all your text.
