Hi, my name is Lenin and I'm absolutely new to rigging and desperately need help.

1. What is the procedure of rigging a low res Model and having the hiRes follow it exactly? (eg: the Package man rig or The Andy Rig - they have 2 or 3 resolution options on their rigs)

2. I have 2 characters (thin and fat) - both having same poly count and mesh flow, just a few tweaks to make one fatter than the other.
I want to rig only once so that i can use the rig on both models and save time. So what is the best way to go about it.
(should I duplicate the rigged character and adjust its vertices to make it fat or should I just duplicate the Rig and skin it again to the fat character??

PLEASE do help me on this .. its urgent... !!

What soft do you use ?

If it's XSI, you can use Gator ! You just have to place your low and high res on the same place (one in the other), and follow the steps of selections and clicking on the right button.

In Maya 2008, they copy the same feature ! But I'm not able to give you more help on.

On others, I can't help you.

Hi..!
If the count of vertices is same in both the model then apply anyone as a blenShape to the other (Maya). Else copy the skin weights and transfer to the other if the bending portions like elbow, hip,(joints) etc. match the other character.
