This is why I aspire to work at Pixar one day.
These people put so much time and effort into these movies. Their whole heart goes into it. It's not half-assed, and everything down to the color palettes are thoroughly decided upon. I just find it absolutely amazing how much soul and life these peopel can bring out of a robot, and they're read so well. You can tell (in the previews) when Wall-E is happy, when he's scared, when he's questioning something, etc. It's genius what these people are capable of doing. The thing about Pixar is that they don't put out trash. If it isn't going to be at the quality of their previous films then they don't bother. That is why I have so much respect for Brad Bird. I don't think there's a single person out there who doesn't want to see a sequel to the Incredibles, but he has refused to do another unless he's capable of topping the first. That says something to me, and I admire that.
I can't wait to go see this, and I cannot wait to see what else Pixar cranks out of its studio in the next 15+ years. They're going to end up being what Disney is to their classical traditional animation films.
As it happens, some of the future ideas springing from PIXAR may relate back to the city I grew up in before it was the city it is today (lost its heritage in my opinion) - DUBAI.

Who would have thought all these big western Hollywood production company's would end up in Dubai - when I was there we had to travel to Al-Ain to go the only theme park (Al Ain Fun City) around and man was it middle eastern in its design and feel... always made me feel down actually - what a contrast to disney parks!! You can see what I mean from the photos here..
http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26681 - It looks like its been run down since I last visited 12 yrs ago, but still no excuse for how awful the locals are at designing parks. Notice the ladies and gents separate entrances to the non-working rollercoaster.
