View Full Version : Rigging a Violon?
elysianalartist 06-14-2008, 01:06 PM Hello cg talk! I have a rigging issue I am trying to work out. I am starting work on my senior thesis and in it I have a violin. And now I am starting to figure out rigging techniques for my violin. I would like to set the rig up to where there is a point on the violin that the bow can constrain to and I can animate the bow like it is sliding along the violin. I hope that make sense. I am trying to figure out a feasible and economic process since I will not have time to hand animate the bow due to time constraints. I use maya 8.5. I appreciate any help! Thanks!

You could solve the issue with a aim-contraint.
A point which can be moved up and down the strings is the aim your violin-bow. you could ofcause put a switch on the aim, to be able to be able to rotate the bow away from the aim.
