View Full Version : Rendering: Render to texture with Brazil?

Hi,
I am having trouble with the 'render to texture'. I am using max 5, using the scanline it all works fine. I have diffuse map and light map selected. It saves my *.tga files all properly. When I try to render it with brazil 1.0 it appears to work, it even updates the viewport with a lightmap... but it never saves the *.tga file to the directory I have specified. Is this even possible with 3rd party renderers?

Anyone have any experiences with it? any other 3rd party renderers work with texture baking?

Thx in advance...

E-mail me your copy of Brazil and I'll see if I can get it to work. Umm... yeah.

I do remember reading, though, that the renderer itself has to support texture baking.

Found this:
CGC: For those of us that are game developers, what do you offer in the light of Baking lights and GI into texture maps for use in real-time gaming?

SK: We don't offer any form of built-in texture baking at this point. This is another one of those things we really want to get into, but we had to get the 1.0 version stable and out the door first.

Hmmm...
Something smells fishy. Not sure if it's Maz or Brazil just yet.
