Hi,

I am new to blender and I love this program but I lost in the documentation. I can’t find some information I was looking for. I am exploring its lighting options. I have few queries. Kindly explain them in detail so that I can understand the concept. Thanks a lot in advance. I hope that someone will help me out and if you can help me with examples or screenshots, it will be great help.

What is the difference between Inverse Square and Inverse Linear?

When I change falloff from Inverse Linear to Constant, I can’t see a great difference. How exactly the constant falloff works?

How Lin/Quad Weighted falloff works? What criteria we use to set the slider values?

I need a visible example of drawing curve falloff. Can we see point handles in curve window?

What is Soft Size and Threshold in Shadow in Spot panel? Blender’s tool tip for Soft Size says, “Area Light Size, doesn’t affect energy amount”. Please elaborate, I am confused.

What is adaptive sampling?

Area Light

What is constant jittered sampling method?

Spot Light

What is the difference between Classical and Classical-half way methods?

How Tint/Box and Gauss filter works?
