View Full Version : Character AZ walkthrought.Steps to follow

Hi all this is my first post so maybe this discution was already posted and reply by others but I couldn't find anything that could help me.
My main concern is that I create a low poly character in Max 2009 and now I try to export it to Z brush for make a detailed version.
I already create all the UVs from the parts I want to detail. I exported it using quads to z brush using the default option for z brush in the export control panel.
Then I opened in Z brush and I tried to divide it using the polygrous which suppose to divide my model in different parts following the UVs selections. I click shift+F to show the wires but nothing happend. The model is still locked up like one piece.
I need to know if this is the right way to do this or the better way is to import part by part and using the append button for having divided control over each part. At this point I'm not able to select which part to sculp.
Also when I'm done with all the detailed steps, how could I export just the detailed version to 3d max for apply it over the low poly figure like a displacement map?
I'm aware that I'm asking a lot of steps in the same post but maybe you guys can tell me from where I could get a nice and easy tutorial which describes all the steps.
