Hi everyone, anyone know how to do this?

I have to add a custom attribute to a controller for my rig. It is just a curve above their head. But I need to have a custom attribute I can set up a set driven key to change the HSV values on the shader for the object it is attached to. Not just a slider for the hwole color range but rather setting it for specific values. But I cant seem to get the Color Chooser node to show up in the connection editor. Any ideas?

Thx!

hey
is it somehting like that you want ?
i did two test files for you :
1 - test_connectionEditor.mb , using the connection editor ( just move the sphere around and see what happens )
2 - test_drivenKeys.mb , using driven keys ( just move the sphere up in the y axis and see what happens )

geonak - hey thanks for doing that, I am having a bt of trouble opening the files, were they Maya 2008 files perhaps? I am on 8.5.

Would be cool to see your test files. I also think I may have figured something out. Honestl I think I was overthinking it trying to get something to connect to the sliders in the color chooser when actually I wam able to jsut set up a SDK for the RGB of the shader itself, duh! So I can just choose the colors I want in the color chooser and then set a key for each of them with a new # in the custom attribute. Because basically I have characters with multiple heads and i need it to change the flesh tone of the rest of the body to match the head as you switch heads on the rig. And that seems to be working.
