So, I have both a MacBook Pro and a Quad G5. Recently, I was working on a titles project for a video, created on my G5. No big deal. I then got some notes from the product manager about a couple of minor changes, so I set about making them on my MacBook Pro.
Once I opened the project, the first thing I noticed was that the backing 'bands' for the text all needed to rotated 90 degrees P. The second thing I noticed, was that the product logo (splines created in Illustrator as Cinema no longer recognizes my Serpentine DBold font) which was extruded and put in a Fracture object set to 'Explode Segment' was behaving differently. The inner circles of the number 8 (present in the logo) were being treated as a separate object. Nothing I would do fixed it. I even made the extrusion editable, and connected up all the pieces of the 8 to no avail. Ultimately I had to delete the polys, and given the shot this worked.
Bringing the project back to the G5 this morning, the first thing I had to do was re-rotate my bands. Duplicating the process I used to create the logo also worked the way I had expected, not the way it worked on the MBP.
So,what other inconsistencies, if any, are any of you using PPC and x86 finding?
