Hey everyone, i built this tv character to compliment a logo.
I tried using blend shapes as my original rigging foundation, the problem is that some blend shapes kept conflicting with one another.
Should i even use blend shapes to assist in the character movement, or simply just use it for emotions??
The character would be bending and slightly twisting to help himself move along, seeing that he does not have legs...
I have included a simple render, just to give an idea...

thanks

I personally think that the character is simple enough that you could use bones for just about everything (including facial expressions). Plus, you'll be able to get better control over the squash & stretch since he is a cartoony character.

If you feel that you're not getting enough emotions out of the TV, then create some blendshapes to further enhance his facial expressions.

That would be the route I would take.
