Hi all,

NewTek wants to show off just what an amazing, powerful system LightWave 3DŽ can be in the hands of a great artist like you. We are officially launching a rapid-fire contest with a crazy deadline of July 31, so no time to waste.

Sounds great! I think this is great for LW. I noticed on the page it says, "created entirely with LightWaveŽ"...does that mean no 3rd plug-ins allowed?

We're discussing it so expect official word to follow, but I personally think that you should use whatever you need to get the job done. Don't take the mickey ("here is my Sculpt 3D-modelled, PowerAnimator-animated and RayDream-rendered animation of a LightWave logo!") and we'll welcome your entry - just hurry up! :)

When I say 3rd party I'm more curious about stuff like rendering it either Kray or FPrime, using LWCAD, and HDInstance, things like that.
