After a great dose of inspiration and a relaxing meditation, i started this 2d wip. He's a budist warrior, that has a strong conection between body and mind...

This is like a "revenge" scene...
WIP PLOT: Maybe a rival has totally overtaken he's master and hes ready for revenge... hehehe imagination flows today :D

As a wip lot's will change and i'm planning to color it using heavy lights for a dramatic feel...
Thoughts and comments would be really helpfull!

'Till next update!

:Thanks:

hmmm....buddhist warrior...that doesn't fit, if u ask me!!
A buddhist is normally peaceful and he respects his environment,
and the people who live in it! So that is a little...weird.
Just my two cents ;)

But i really like the picture!
The nose is probably a bit too strong for a guy from the east,
but that's a detail!

his face don't look asian to me... :p (the nose and the eye) and those shaolin monk's beads are slightly bigger than the pic and all of them are of the same size...

I see... Well i was just to ansious to post this sketch and i should've had thought in a better name for this peace...

I agree that he would fit better in a Kung-fu Ocidental "Padawan" style, instead of a budist...
I'm really not sure but i think there are budist that practice some sort of martial art right???

Well i'm "tracing" this guy now, and i'll post the updates...

thanks for the replys so far friends...!

Be cool!

Here's the first update on my wip!

I did some pencils and kinda traced the outlines. I don't know if i'll keep the dark outline or not... Well i want to have a very dramatic atmosphere in the scene... Can someone give ideas on how to accomplish that?

This is a great place to show our work, but the real joy is when people reply with good or even bad critics...
I wanna have parameters on how i'm doing the painting and all, so if you please give me some answers...!

Also should i use bezieur and do a black out line here, or should i let it go and only stick with the colors?...

:thanks:

I like what you've got. I have some suggestions to achieve the type of atmosphere you want. Make it a night scene. In the background, put in some trees, like pine trees, and make them really dark (since it is night, after all). Have a few clouds in the sky as well, and maybe have a crescent moon hidden behind them. I hope that helps. Instead of trees, maybe put in mountains, since alot of the secluded monks live alone in mountain caves, or you could put a combo of both. Or add in a buddhist temple in the back.
