Man... this piece is truly powerful :surprised .. to be honest it took me couple of minute to understand whats going on, but thanx to your color scheme, it's not distracting at all and it's truly wonderful :)
If i were you i will use same technique and same story but with more dramatic perspective view,... but thats me :)
hmmm...Your piece force me to be more accurate in my work now!

This is an incredible take on the 2D/3D fusion. I love and marvel at what you have created. If I may suggest, this piece would be even more powerful if the composition was not in perfect thirds. The hair/tentacles are so interesting I would like to see how some of them end. Congratulations and best of luck!

magical! I think you will be one of the winners.
06-09-2008, 10:21 PM
Honestly I wouldnt change a thing on it! This to me is a strong canidate for the win! :deal:
Although I read you poem and I am not much a a poem type but I am sure that rust isnt a fungus.... so rust with out the fungus is the normal state of rust isnt it? If I took it to literal, its because I am not good at understanding poems, sorry, lol :D
06-10-2008, 02:01 AM
sensational!! the amount of detail and creativity is absolutely top notch! i'm sure you'll win! :p :bounce: cheers dude!

Very interesting vision! This kind of geometrical explosion reminds me "Galatea of the Spheres" - a work of the great Salvador Dali.
06-10-2008, 01:12 PM

Very cool sleeky, the 3d part is great, it's a cool idea that was well executed, but the 2D part detracts from it. I feel the stuff you added in photoshop are lacking, they just don't add to the 3d part, it feels like you did it just because you had to, not that it was an integral part of the design. I think the glow effects and everything are a bit OTT for me, again feels very superflous. It feels to me like the sort of thing you'd see in a video game magazine, or on a graphics card - verging on garish/tacky. The choice of colour feels like it was a bit neglected, the bright blue isn't working for me, I think more subtle tones would improve it alot, also just crisper graphics without the random outer glow sort of stuff. Anyway, that's my two cents.

This is truly amazing! If it were up to me, I think this one would be in the top 3 at least! Well done.
06-14-2008, 09:27 PM
Its a beautiful piece of art....well done
06-16-2008, 01:59 PM
The Idea is great but I think it lacks of post production. It's raw to me.
06-16-2008, 04:11 PM
Nice, I like the composition and colors
06-16-2008, 09:43 PM
I feel the fluid movement from the left to the right fits the image perfectly. I can see the design and the fusion in this piece. Great!
