Looks great all around - mysterious, moody etc. Love the vertical format. The only changes I could think of would be perhaps experimenting with some very subtle hints of god rays or streams of light filtering down and warming up subtle pools of light on top of the building/waterfall area to help draw the eye to the focal point. As it stands now, the first-read draws my eye to the top upper left clouds. By knocking that bright spot back and emphasizing the midground it might enhance an already fantastic image.
It does look a bit washed out on my monitor I grabbed the image and boosted the contrast and saturation a small bit, which helped a lot on my monitor, which could just be a difference in screen gamma set-ups and what not.
One final tweak is that the castle on the upper tip is knocked so far back that it looks like an untextured 3d model. Adding some faint color and more detailing would help bring it in line with the rest of the image.

hey
looks goods.
but i have a few suggestions for u.
since your light source is coming from behind the castle the clouds or the fog layer at the bottom are catching too
much light.
the shadows on the left hand side mountains and the small houses(castles) needs a lil help. look out for those shadows they are in the wrong direction i feel.
i would like to see some more :)
all the best

hi and welcome to the forums !, I agree about if the light is coming from behind is should be way darker, and also some lights on the houses windows and walls could help a lot , eventhough I don't like this kind of aspect on a matte painting image the idea is really nice ,the composition is cool too, I think you have a nice idea of what mattepainting and mood is, keep up the good work
