OMG! I love this piece!
1: is this Illustrator?
2: are you family of Totich (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=62648)?

Nanoneen Fantastic! I can't think of any critique for this one and I'm happy that you didn't post 2 color versions forcing us to make any difficult decisions on which was best (j/k Totitch :D ).
Two thumbs up for you guys, you're cranking out some stellar work!

Saw that in Totich's sig after I posted this reply ;)

but im curious too what program this was created in
05-21-2003, 05:34 PM
What a bastardo this E=mc˛ !!! :D
Sure it looks like what i did cause we are working on the same project! But nanoneen is for 50% in the style and artistic choices! it's a Team work!!!
Fellah is working with us too on 3D models looking like if it was 2D! he is doing an amazing job, but you won't see now! :p
Great Nano! Waw! And what a clean!!!! :bounce: :D :D

j'adore ton style!!
05-21-2003, 05:48 PM
En tout cas le style est super sympa.
i really love this piece!
there are some things i would like to ask about the overall compoisition - if i may
at first it took me a second to get the joke - this was most certainly exaggerated by scrolling down and over in my browser window but an art director might want certain compositional elements changed - such things as: moving the center of interest from the little ghost to the boy...or putting the lamp into the boys hand...or darkening the overall lighting so the large swamp monster comes forward out of the darkness...ect
i would be interested in hearing your thoughts and i also thought it would be of interest to the readers here on cgtalk
thank you very much for sharing :-)

really nice nano! but.. the clean could be better :D :D

Lots of depth and character.
Great color work as well in these pieces.
05-21-2003, 06:11 PM
love it! :)
your work is outstanding as always, i don't know any other artist that gets the cute and the artistic under the same hat as good as you man! congrats!!:applause:

dont animate in 2d??
05-21-2003, 07:31 PM
Wow...I think this illustration is great!!! Love the colors and overall mood of the pic. Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like you used Macromedia's Flash program to handle the colors and line work. If you did then I think it's great because flash can knock out some pretty tight colors and line work when it comes to cartoon illustrations.
superb!!!! I like a lot!!!
05-21-2003, 08:25 PM
This is my kind of style, great job.
05-21-2003, 08:39 PM
Nice stuff, reminds me of something I'd see on Cartoon Network
it's u again babehh! welldone!:applause:
05-21-2003, 10:22 PM
the dracula-scene is allready printed out hanging on the wall behind me
... the swampthing should follow
keep on kreeping!!!
I love that little ghost so much... it hurts.
Considering the three of you are teaming up (eek!) - I think it would be a good idea for the rest of us to hire a hitman...
05-21-2003, 10:40 PM
oh man I just love this.
I've always looked up to your works (all three of you)
Keep it up

amazing work. can't wait to see the finished product. as for somebody's question about the art direction, i got the joke immediately from looking at the pic, i think the comp is fine.

  love it:D

My only comment is that in my opinion the monster
should be lookin' more threatning. His eyes I mean.

Wooo..loving all this..you guys are unstoppable as always, and it's great to see the new team-up. The colors, design, lineweights(!)..awesome. If you can maintain that look fully animated it'll reign supreme. Can't wait to see what fellah's doing with the 2d-3d. :buttrock:
BTW I was away for a while, what happened to pabbloz? Hope it's not a sore subject, I remembered the challenge musketeers and was curious. :curious:

love vector. love this piece of art. Got so many detail and the reflections are cool. Really would like to know where did u do it (I mean which app did u use).
06-26-2003, 09:35 PM
Very nice work! It inspired me to do a cartoon style piece(although i never have before).
I'll be posting it soon.
As for where she did it? I would think mostly Illustrator, maybe freehand? Possibly imported into Photoshop to get the opacity effects? But if its vector art for a toon i'd think its all vector.
PS?? Does illustrator offer opactiy changes now?
