Hello everyone my name is Jason Marino and i have just recently got back into drawing and working on art. With a few years of college under my belt i figured out the only way to be happy is to follow and do what you enjoy not what other people want you to do/be. So i am studying art and plan to be doing many sketches of anything and everything! I really hope you guys enjoy my work and i hope to make much improvements as i time goes by please enjoy!

Ill start this off with a drawing i did of one of my favorite basketball players. Took about 2.5 hrs on and off as i watched the game =X

Hello there, welcome. I'd really recommend picking up this (http://books.google.com/books?id=MWz7lBCmJJUC&dq=inauthor:Anthony+inauthor:Ryder&ei=-oFJSMjYIYTitgPbsc3mDQ) book and checking out the artist's website, tonyryder.com. Some great demos there. Try copying some of his work to refine your shading method. Additionally I think you need to simplify your forms so that you get the underlying structure. Have you previously taken life drawing classes?
