Yeah, you are all tired of car models. The reason i'm doing this model is because it's a (delayed) gift for my father, who bought a TR6 for himself.

The model itself is *almost* finished, i need to do textures for several parts and touch up a few spots and finally i need to make a scene for it. Otherwise it's very close to completion.

These are the most recent renders, but i'll render some out of the current state - i welded the halves, made a few more things like a nameplate on the back, and fixed a few things. I'll post those later today.

Anyway, this page (http://wireframed.com/tr6) has a few views, and here's a thumb to get you started:

The little page i threw up has more info on modelling technique, polycount, renderer etc.

Tell me what you like, what you don't like, and what plainly won't do! :)

Actually.. this is another Car I seen that has no hose like on the rim of the wheels :) I mean like It would look more realisticly if you add that part on the rim where u pump the air in the tires :)

Unless of course you tires are pure rubber all da way :)

Anyways other then that man this car is da BOMB! hehe keep it up...

Al cars i have seen so far..they did not add that one part on the rim of the wheels...

Funny you should mention the valves - i actually plan on modelling those... :) I've gone a bit overboard on detail on some parts - i've modelled the screws and nuts that tie down the top and the little details in the wires on the tire. That's part of the reason why it is pretty heavy on polies.

Do you have a top down version in the works too?

Right now it's now modelled in a way that would make a topdown version easy - i'd have to remodel that part, and i don't think i'm going to do that. My next project (when i find the time to finísh this one) will probably be a character, as i want to have more of that type of work under my sleeve.

The tail lights really need work, but I think you know that...looks very good to me and glad to see people doing cars from the 60's. Don't think your dad is going to be unhappy.   :)

When you say "work" i assume you mean they are untextured, right? At least that's what i know is wrong with them. :) In fact, texturing the lights are the two major things i have left, but i've been putting it off because i'm not sure how i want to do it. I think i'll just end up painting a bumpmap and a refractmap in photoshop. Any better ideas?
