Hi,

Is there, like in Max, a Transform Type In in Maya?

last time I checked there wasn't anything stopping you from typing numerical values into attribute editor.

It's in the top right, net to the render buttons... it's a text field that, by default, is for selection sets -- choose from the dropdown list to set it to either absolute or relative transform entry.

Yes I know that you can type it in the attr editor but question is if you can make that floatable? Because I have a 3ds max background and in there you had that option.

Because now if you switch between the attr editor, Tool settings and the Layer Editor you can't type in anymore.
But what I understand: There is floating Transform Type In in Maya

Actually, there is a tool you're refering to, but I don't know how to make it floatable...
But it's in the top left corner. It's the small box you can type to and it has a small menuthingy where you can pick some options. To move stuff with it, first select the thing you want to move (An object/component of it) and then select the axis you want to move it along, with the left mousebutton (The axis handle lightens up), then press the menuthingy of the small box and pick something named (Translate: Relative or Translate: ????) and then just type in the numbers and press enter et voila!

Sorry for the bad describtion, but I haven't got Maya in front of me right now.
