View Full Version : i cant transfer uvs

i have a scene and my character his arms have the same detail same faces, edges, verts. the right arm is bigger in places so its not mirrored, its been tweaked. is that why i cant transfer uvs? i tried it on my leg it worked. thats the only thing i can think of. any ideas, if thats the case is there soemthing i can do ?

I had the same problem , King mob came up with the solution.

First check out the HUD to see if the poly count is the same on both models. If not , take the model you laid out the UV's and duplicate it , if you have average vertex , smooth whatever on it just zero those out and freeze the history on it. Now it'll transfer just fine.

so they dont have to have the same number of UV's right?
my arms both have the same faces, verticies, edges. the uvs's are not the same which of course happend cause i fixed one arm. so i just duplicate the arm i want to transfer to and freeze it then?
