Hi,

I am new to Blender, so thought I would check it out as it seems to be popular these days.

Anyway, does it come with any preset materials as I could not find any if it did. Further to that does anyone know where I can download material presets?

There are no material presets included with Blender . . . but this site (http://www.blender-materials.org/) should get you started.
