Airtwist! 05-21-2003, 08:14 AM hy everybody,
i modelled this one 4 a contest, itīs modelled and rendered with
lightwave 7,5! I used spline modelling techniks!
I modelled it a little bit different then the real one especially the wings, i will try to model how i would tune up my honda s2000,
if i had one :)
how do you like it so far?

i'm modeling one in c4D .. your's looks much better ! when you use splines do you create points then create open curve ?? or do you use bezier tool ?
thanks

nice model , only crits i can think of at the moment are that in your new renders the car looks over lit and your wheels are very very black....if you know what i mean
other than that....top stuff:wavey:

Some thing I noticed is that the tail lights seem to "curve" in, and results in a bit of a lip between the top of the tail lights and the fender/rear quarter pannel of the car. And, I agree that it looks over-lit and lots of hdri applied, yet there's nothing around that its actually reflecting..but thats another area yet you have to do :) Other than that, itsl looking pretty good! Oh, and you may want to add some creases for where the hood is separated from the body. Just some of my .02 ;)

pretty cool, but those wheels are abnoxious... seriously, who the hell would ever get wheels like that, I mean, the amount of flat tires/tire pops you would get would be mind exploding.... other than that, cool car!
Cheers,

Well, if it were a GT Class car, which it looks as if it is, then they would have that size of wheels on it...not to be rude or anything, just stating what I've seen from watching endless hours of Touring car racing on the Speed Channel ;)

I still find that stupid an impractical... but whatever it takes to look cool eh?
Meh,

Mushroomgod: LOL Yea...its on cable/sattelite here in the states...used to be called SpeedVision, now just called the Speed Channel...all kinds of motorsports, car and driver type shows, etc. Very nice indeed =))
Gremlin: Stupid and Impractical? I dont want to flame or anything, but when your racing at those speeds, then you need all the grip you can get =) Its not just to look cool..there's actually a concept behind it all, believe it or not =) But I understand that you have your opinions, as well as I, and everyone else, and that is what this forum is all about =D
But here is what I'm talking about:

He is right! Fromt my understanding, less sidewall on your tires gives better handling at the corners. This is because as you turn and stuff, there is a lot of force unleashed on your rubber, making it bend into all kinds of crazy ways, in turn making you handling more dynamic and less stable. Well something along those lines anyways... BTW sidewall is the distance from the ground to the rims.

thanks again guys,
iīve to say also that Stupeyfied is right, i mean i have a friend he is a pro driver, and believe me , there is a reason 4 all this stuff on a race car, anyway, thanks again
