View Full Version : Scaling animated scene

A client sent me an animated scene that I textured and lit in VRay.
He's asking for Depth of field, but the scene scale is such that VRay
sees it as the size of a City block.

Is there a way to scale everything down globally, without re-animating?

throw everything into a null at world zero and then scale the null using the OBJECT tool (not the model tool).

That worked, but the camera scaling got messed up as expected.

Any solutions there?

how do you mean? using the object tool shouldn't have any problems with cameras and animation and scale.

using the model tool will mess things up (as the keyframed psr overrides any scaling you make so the camera will snap back to its original position) but using the object tool is just like scaling the world smaller.

The camera is taking advantage of those free CSTools - 'MoCam'
That's likeley the probelm.

As you said, it does work in a regular scene.

CS tools is xpresso based--the scaling might be fighting the xpresso, --Id email Chris Smith and see what he says.
