View Full Version : Photoshop cs3 image corruption issue....

hi

im using the latest ver of PS, and i am creating a website within photoshop which is being put together in dreamweaver (via tables).
my problem is related to PS itself. I seem to have a aqua blue square located in my image on a layer which i never put there. it sort of looks like an artifact error, like when watching a badly macro-blocked video. i don't know how to get rid of it.
i've tried selecting it and deleting it but it just deleted the background image also, creating a white space.
any ideas of what the problem is and how to fix it??

Not entirely sure where this is occuring in your image, the image that is linked is quite small. I assume your talking about that blue rectangle on the left hand side where the text is.
I got no idea why this is happening, could be alot of different things. But looks like you could just clone stamp it out, or copy and paste parts of your image over it. Probably need to redo the text after stamping it out.
That strikes me as the quickest way of dealing with it.

Are you sure that you don't have any overlay cues visible on the document? Such as a gamut warning or something like that? If you close the document, and re-open it, is it still there?

hi,
this may sometimes happen when working with alpha channels - do you work with alpha channels?

if so, check your channels pallette - and - check if you have not - by mistake - converted any of your alpha-channels into the spot color channel;
if so, just turn this channel off,
- in Photoshop there is a few "really quick" ways - without really noticing that - how to convert your alpha-channel (which has no visible effect on your image) into the spot color channel (which has a direct visible impact on your image, providing that the Solidity of ink is set to more than 0%) :)

if this is that case, turning the spot color channel off should help,
