oh to answer your question.
yes i laid out the uvs. then screenshoted them or you can go to EDIT in texture editor and select UVstampler. it captures whatever is in the image clip that you have in texture editor, so it camputer the image itself and the UVs on top of it. for a good use of capturing UVs you can go to texture editor's properties and change line color from yellow to black and make some blank white image to use when you capture your UVs. so then it will be black lines on white background. also a TIP: the bigger the image resolution you have the same size your UVstamped image is gonna be. if you have 400X400 blank white image then once you stamped it will be 400X400 which is not good to use as reference on PS for good quality textures like 2000X2000 coz all the UV lines will be pixelated if you expand the size. so just make a blank image that is like 4000X4000 and stamp uvs. then you can always lower the size in PS when you need to.

peace

HAHA well thanx victor for the repply, Bonus that i swtiched to XSI? Im kindda starting to doubt it, I just hope I can understand XSI as well as understand Maya, mostly is the render tree and getting good results for rendering what i need to learn, and some stuff of texturing. but what worries me is that I heard Thomas is leaving and then who is gonna help us, the other XSI teacher arent very good and at least with Maya well i know it better and Don and Bob are exellent teachers but well ill see. anyways probably next thursday ill go to work to as lab assistant and look you up to ask ya some stuff.

yah i know about thomas stuff. well i never really counted on him or any other XSI teachers, yah ofcourse its easier to learn maya in CDIS coz maya's teaches are great but oh well it's not like teachers really teach much after 1st year, 2nd year is mostly self discovery. most cool stuff ppl still learn on their own and the whole gfx stuff can be learned a home. college is basically a diploma paper, that's it.
