CGTalk - Maxtreme 4.00.29

Well, it's been out for several days... Any positive/negative feedback on it from Nvidia card owners? It still appears impossible to uninstall, at least when installed on top of .28.

Hmmm currently running an nvidia geforce fx 5200 ultra. What would this drive do for me if I were to install it over my old one?

I've heard a bit about maxtreme but not to much. Could you give me alittle info on it.

The Maxtreme driver is specially for Nvidia Quadro cards or soft-quadro cards.

I'll install tonight. The .28s are being buggy so it'll be nice to see if the new ones help.

I've had no problems with version 4.00.29. I have a Quadro 550 XGL and max runs flawless. :bounce:

I don't really know the hows and whys of these "Maxtreme" drivers and the Softquadro operation. Could someone perhaps point me in the right direction if I wanted to learn more? I understand the basic principle of drivers optimized for professional use and fooling an ordinary card into accepting them, but I don't know how exactly to go about it. Nor if there's any danger to it, or what kind of advantages it exactly offers.

I've tried searching on it here before, but came up a little emptyhanded. Is there a central site of sorts thats dedicated to all things softquadro and maxtreme?

soo, any success stories with people running this on Max5?

i have been using Max 4 for a while, i just sent in for an upgrade at journeyed, now that i am a student again, and i have a 980XGL on order...

yikes...

but what is everyone's opinion with these new maxtreme drivers in max 5?

I've been using .29 maxtreme on max 5 for over a few mths. running quadro 750 xgl. so far no probs, dunno about anti alias wires..dont really like em.:surprised
