Title: The Lonely Inn
Name: Milan Vasek
Country: Czech Republic
Software: Photoshop, XSI

Hello.
My latest 3d image. I tried to create different mood in one simple scene. Sort of lighting exercise.
Its done in Softimage XSI, rendered with Mental Ray (i used simple lights with shadow maps, no GI or FG, but ambient occlusion shader was very useful)
I also used Nuke for compositing.

The 2nd one and the last one are my favorites. Those seem to really jump off the screen. They all have a different feel though so good job!

very nice design and composition. i think that the weakest part is the tree bark on the left. its a bit flat.
i like all the lighting setups, especially 2,3 and 5.
keep up the good work :)

btw i hate it when people just vote 2 or 3 stars and move on. if you have something to critic then say it. they should remove the voting option in my opinion.
sorry, just had to say it..;)

anyway, great job

Very nice, I really like the colors. The glooming effect might be a bit strong.
I agree the three could have used more detailed leafs

I try to tell which one I prefer, but I can't decide, they really all look good to me

Really nice. The colour variations are handled very well. The bark does look flat like itayg mentioned, the only thing off I can see.

great job, they're all very nice!

I like how you changed the feel so much just by the lighting. Very nice.

Very nice!

I'm surprised nobody is saying #1 is their favorite, as it has the most beautiful lighting. It has that soft late afternoon light you see just before or after a storm.
