Xilica 05-20-2003, 07:46 PM Hey all!
I am thinking about purchashing this book:
Book (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1931841500/ref=ase_3dtotal/102-9643859-0720911)
and I would like to know if you guys recommend it or think it is not worth it.
Thanks in advance! :)

It's not bad, but if I remember correctly it's a bit Maya-oriented. As long as you are able to extract the theory and technique out of it without getting bogged down by the software-specific stuff, I'd say it's a book worth having. If/when you get into rigging, animating, and production the other books in the Inspired series (Character Rigging, Animation, Lighting and Rendering) are a good read, too.
just my $.02

I don't need tutorials, =)
I was just wondering if this book explained concepts etc... which it looks like it does based on your explainations.
Thanks! :buttrock:
