View Full Version : Falloff "paths" in Mograph possible?

Hi,

Sorry for the odd-ball question but...
Is there a way to create a falloff type for an effector within Mograph that is more precise than the linear, box and spherical falloff types for effectors? , allowing the deformation result to stay in place while the effector continues on its journey affecting other clones along the way?

Attached is a workaround example where "Source" falloff type has been used to affect the clones in a very specific pattern / along a predetermined spline path which I couldn't quite get the linear and shape falloffs to achieve with the same degree of precision.

I have a nagging sensation that this example can be pulled off in a much simpler way.
Any ideas?

Cheers / Alex

Hi Badtastic,

I've had good luck using a shader effector applied to a tracer object. Use "source" in the shader effector's falloff and drag the tracer object into it. I used it to show white blood cells "eating up" bacteria.

Mad stab at it but could be wrong.

How about using a MoGraph Spline Wrap on a straight spline with all your gizmos attached?
It should be easier to align effectors and then deform into the snaky spline.

I don't have SoloStore so didn't change any of your effectors.

Cheers, Alan.

Sorry for the radio-silence, (Deadline week for delivery to client)
Thanks for the input and ideas guys! :)
I'll try both and see what I come up with..

Cheers / Alex
