Raul-Reznek 05-20-2003, 07:13 PM I am rigging a character and i can't seem to get the job done right
What i want to know:
1) If i skin the right arm with physique can i mirror or left?
2) How can i make skin harder and softer
3) Should i use skin modifier?
4) Are there any DECENT damn tutorials on this earth, i've searcher verywhere

I'm not sure this is what you mean, but perhaps it will be helpfull.
Once you have adjusted the envelopes on the right the process I use is to COPY the settings, select the opposite envelopes and paste, THEN use the MIRROR command on that same selection.
2) How can i make skin harder and softer
Again I'm not real clear on what you mean but perhaps a certain amount of blending (partial blending) will help achieve the effect.
3) Should i use skin modifier?

1. As Ls3D wrote you can only copy and mirror envelopes.
3. For simple models using skin is more siple and fast. Mostly because of painting weights. For highpoly I'd recommend physique it's more complex and gives more control.
4. Try MAX tutorials they're sufficient (for me) and then practice. :)
